My calves felt tight next day!

Love the whole Battle Miles series. Currently about half way through. These are the real deal if you are looking to do hard things!

Another awesome challenge. Not for the faint of heart. I had to train up for this one, but it was totally worth it. Love the medal and the patch. Thank you Battle Miles for another great challenge!

Great time and very different to jog with weight and exercise between miles

When I get the package my first response is what the hell did I get myself into

The 10k Tribute was my 2nd race, my first was the 5k Tribute. At the time I did not have a vest so I loaded a backpack up with 20lbs and went for a walk. At first it was all good, but as the miles went by the pack started to get heavier, wow what did I get myself into here I thought. I kept going though, and with about 1 mile to go I ht that wall and wanted to sit down and quit, but I did not, I completed the race. I loved the race as it challenged me. I am overweight, have high blood pressure, and am in shape if you call round a shape. The fact that I do get a finisher medal has motivated me to get up off the couch and get moving.

This is a great workout and inexpensive way to continue to race and stay motivated.

The day started out cool then turned into a furnace. Was drenched by the time I finished. Legs definitely felt this one. Can't wait to tackle the next challenge. Battle miles keeps me on my feet.

I’d like to first clarify my mistake from Monday’s post. I stated that I would be doing the tribute 6K on Wednesday, that was supposed to say (Tribute) 10K. Now onto today’s 10K Tribute. I ran 5 miles of the course I wanted to do yesterday. It felt good. Today felt just as good but I felt a little sluggish. I didn’t stop although my mile pace slowed. Either way I set another PR, although it was my 3d fastest 10K, this one had an additional 20 lbs lol. Friday, I’ll be doing the 1/2 marathon tribute. I love how Battle Miles has found a way to push people past their comfort levels.

I would have posted with the medal but haven't received it yet. I was picking up trash along the way to clean up the roads a bit. I came into a hiking trail and followed that a bit before getting back on the road to head home. I had fun the whole time and I did carry a 50 pound ruck the whole time. My shirt was soaked under the weight vest, and feet were sore. However, I will do this again.

This was so much fun I have moved on up to the half. These races are addicting and a great way to stay challenged.

My Service Dog, Mnemy, and I did the Tribute 10K today and had SO much fun! It was definitely a challenge for me to carry twice the weight I usually do and go twice the distance, but what a great workout and feeling of accomplishment at the end! I cannot WAIT to do the Siege!

Tribute 10k! Wow! Longest distance with my weighted vest to date! Loved every minute of it!

Had a blast with this race. Just like the other races very challenging but always a blast! Definitely can't wait to do it again!
